I want to re-do all the springs and struts on my car, 91 RS w/ F41. I want a really firm ride that can give me good handling. The car however is still a daily driver and I am on a budget, so keep that in mind I dont need the best of the best, I just want it to ride like it was new stock or maybe a little bit better. SFCs are in the mail

Soo...spend my money

KYB shocks and struts and eibach springs. smooth ride, not too firm. springs will give it a 1" drop...if you've still got your stock springs it may raise it...depending on how worn your old springs are...

koni yellows.
moog springs cut to desired height (without going too far).
best tires you can get in your size.
agressive alignment.

Heres a link to All of the available stock replacment springs from moog, and their rates.

Two words: KONI YELLOWS (shocks, struts)
I would get Ground Control springs. They are pretty cool. Check it out....
If you don't like that, get something like Hotchkis (sp...?), Eibach, Moog, whatever, just custom order as to what you want. Not much more expensive than buying an off the shelf kit, as long as you don't go crazy with it.

Koni Yellows
They may take up your budget but they will make a huge difference. You may get the feel you ar looking for with just the Koni's. I have Ground Control weight jackers but they would be a bit pricey if you only want improved stock. The WS6/ 1LE/ Iroc springs are good rates and you can tweak with swaybars if needed. Add a TDS wonder bar if you don't have one already.

Spend your money? Please send check or money order to . . . just kidding. I agree with many of the above posts though. Moog springs, Bilstein struts and shocks (or Koni if you want to spend a little more), good tires. Another thing I would suggest is checking your sway bar end links. Make sure they are in good shape as they can make the car loose if worn badly. Also, give the once over on all of your steering components. It's not difficult at all to check them. If there looks to be any worn parts replace them. That's about it for basic suspension. Goodluck.
