I tryed putting my struts in and i used a impact gun on the top nut but the shaft kept spinning the strut itself got really hot because i did this for a while (don't ask me why i did it for a while stupidity i guess )Anyway i was wondering if i damaged them by doing this they seem to work fine but now I'm worried.

 

probably not they are supposed to turn plus that nut dont have to be gorrilla tight.

 

I wasnt going gorilla tight the nut was crossthreaded and i didnt realize it for a while. It got really hot it burned me when i touched the strut. So i should be ok then?

 

yeah you should be alright it'll just be a problem when you go to take them back off
