Caster and spindles?
Nutshell: last week I just got done installing a C5 brake upgrade and new ball joints. After the install, the car doesn't wanna maintain a straight line. I'm pretty sure it's a caster issue and right now the cars is at the alignment shop but they called me and told me that it's too low to put on their rack and it's pouring rain out and probably will for the rest of the day but going by memory, it looks like the adjusting bolts are positioned all the way to the back of the car.
Now, to get a little extra caster out of it until I can find a shop, wouldn't I be able to loosen up the strut to spindle bolts/nuts and tap on the tie rod arm to take out any play from the bolts and spindle bolt holes and then retighten them? That would move the angle of the ball joint slight rearward and making more positive caster angle correct. Someone who knows what they're talking about, let me know if I'm on the right track.

camber and caster adjustments can be made by moving the upper strut mount. loosen the 3 nuts around the mount, dont remove them, with the car off the ground as well, then some force is usually needed to move the mount but you can move it toward the front or rear of the car to corect caster.
