widest tire for a 16 inch rim

Hey guys, I'm about to buy new Tires for my IROC. It has the stock 16 inch rims, I wanted to run 245/45/16 in the front, and possibly 265/45/16 in the back. What exactly is the widest tire i can fit in the back without having them hit anything or rub? Thanks

pretty much everyone recomends a 255/50/16 for the back and a 245/50/15 for the front. thats what I had on my T/A. Any wider than that on a 8inch wide rim and the tire will bow out and not have uniform contact with the road.
