17x11 TT2

been reading and viewing the forums here for abit, but haven't really posted anything. I got a 86 iroc that i'll be driving come spring and would like to get 17x11 (315/35/17) torque thrust rims for the rear and unsure for what i want in the front (9.5?)

The car is not lowered, what offset/backspacing will be needed in the rear with 2" spacers?

if you are goin to use spacers, then get the wheels in the same specs as 4th gen wheels

this will work.... 7.9" back spacing with 50mm offset

i thought spacers were needed, unless you have a 4th gen rear.

i'm sure you can get the wheel setup custom for use without spacers. i'm not sure of the dimensions you'd need.

If you plan to drive it much on the street. I would stick with a 8" rim on the front. It will probably wonder/track a lot with the wider rims on the front.

Why would you want such a big wheel, it would stick out a fair bit unless you use a BFH and work the wheel well some. I went with 6.5" BS on my 10" wheel and I had to do some hammering to make it fit, I guess you could do the same and have like a 5" lip but it would look out of place IMO.

a 8/9" rim would probably be best in the front, i'm just looking to get 17x11's in the rear. Is it possible to fit 17x11 with out any fender rolling, fender bashing. I don't care alot if the wheels stick out a little bit, don't have to be 100% flush.

Is it possilble to have a 17x11 with out spacers? Rims would have 7 3/4 backspacing and the offset would be 45.

Bashing in the rear a little with a hammer and some heat is no big deal. Takes a few hours, but def not rocket science. No one will ever be looking in there anyways. I did it to mine and I currently have more room in there than I need. I am now going to machine down my spacers so that the rims don't stick out at all. And go down to 315s. The 335s bubble out too much. But they don't rub on anything and that is with no rolled lip or anything.

I am going to guess I will have to machine 1/4" off my spacers to have the rims get tucked back under. They are 11" wide of course.

Up front I have 9.5" rims. and 275tires. So far nothing soeems to rub.
