Is there really any difference?

Tire sizes. Ever sense I've had my Camaro I've always had 215 - 60 sized tires on her. I'm told that stock was 215 - 65.

Is there a difference in handling or ride between the two?

The 215/60s would probably handle a bit better with their shorter sidewall. They'll also make your car ride about a 1/2in lower. The drawbacks are the ride might be a little more harsh (probably not much though) and your speedometer will be off slightly.

If you want to switch to a tire that won't throw off your speedo and don't want the 215/65s, a popular choice is the 225/60/15. It's the same height as the 215/65, but it's 1/4in-1/2in wider.

215/60 is too small. They'll wear faster than they should, and are otherwise a downgrade for the car in every way. I'm surprised a tire store would actually sell those for that application.

Next time you get tires, get 235/60. Much better fit and match. That's the size that's ACTUALLY the right "+0" option for one of these cars. 225/60 (Mustang) is still too small of a tire.

Thanks Sofa. I started thinking later that it was actually 235.
