max. tire size

max. tire size

i was wondering what the maximum tire and rim size i could fit on an 86 iroc z without moving the springs in



also with the springs moved in but with out tubing

Don't think you will gain any room inside without tubbing. You can pound the inner wheel well flatter but that is about it.

My 295's just squeeze in. They tuck in from the fender lip and they have about 1/2" of clearance from the inner fender well. They rub the well though in hard turns because of the sloppy rubber bushings in the pan hard bar. Poly will be going in soon.

Here's a picture.

Some people put in 315's, but you'll either have to clearance the wheel well or have the wheels stick out. Which looks kinda silly. Member on this forum have done both

I currently have 275's but I've been looking to add 295's; looks like a good fit. How bad is the noise with the KDW-2's you're running?

I have a 295/65-15 MT Drag Radial on my 3rd gen. Not sure if that is the route you were going.
