15x8 of 15x10 drag wheels
Hey guys,
Who makes a 15x8 or 15x10 light drag wheel (and what offset) to fit a third gen.
I want to run 28" tall slicks, and if I can get away with 15x8s I don't see why not.
Here is the thing.
I also have a 4th gen and plan on running my third gen 9" diff in this car. I'm assuming a set of third gen wheels would then fit the back end of the 95 with a third gen style diff. THis is kind of why i'd like to keep it as narrow as possible for some margain.
Anyone have any clue if this could/will work?
Thanks a lot,
Igor.

4.5" bs on a 8" and 5.5" bs on a 10".....although 5.5" might be pushing it a bit with a 28" tall tire. Lots of companies make drag lite rims.....Centerline, American Racing are the big two.

The tire height does'nt care about rim width, the tire WIDTH does. Running a wide tire on a narrow rim really buldges out the sidewall and cups the foot print unless you really air them down.
I run the 10" rims with 5.5" BS and 28x11.5 Hoosier quick time pro DOT slicks, I have 4 buddies running that same tire on their 8" rims. Tire profile is alot more straight up and down on my 10" vs their 8" rims....but both do work. Base your rim size on the width of the tire you want to run-wider tires want/need wider rims so sidewalls can perform like they're supposed to.
Here's what mine look like with the 28x11.5x15 on a 10" rim and 5.5" BS mounted to my Moser 9" rear end:
