K Member Removal
I was wondering if someone could give me detailed steps for removing the K-Member? It is damaged and I need to replace it.Thanks
Theres really nothing to it! About 6bolts for the Kmember and a few more for the extra triangular braces added to later years.
Seriously, just make sure the engines supported. Disconnect both motor mounts. Disconnect the A-arms. Move and unclip and brake lines in the way. Take off the afore mentioned bolts and the jobs done. When you are taking off the K, have a axle stand primed ready to take the weight. Leave the K supported by this, get back out from underneath, and give the K a few knocks from a BFH to get it to drop down.
