Opinions on Suspension Upgrades

Alright guys and gals, I need some opinions on my current suspension upgrades and future plans as well. This is my set up currently:

Spohn Lower Control Arms
Energy Suspension Front and Rear Sway Bar Bushing
Energy Supsension Front and Rear End Links
32mm Front Sway bar
22mm Rear Sway bar
Edelbrock Tubular Panhard bar
Monroe Sensatrac shocks
Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace
Spohn Wonder Bar
245/45/17 Kumho Ecsta 711 Rubber

These are my thoughts on further upgrades:
Monroe Sensatrac Struts
Moog 5662 Front Springs
Moog 5665 Rear Springs
Sub-frame connectors (brand?? Any suggestions?)
Edelbrock or Spohn Torque Arm (Comments or suggestions?)

All the current upgrades have less than 300 miles on them. The car really handles and rides great but I want to go to the next level. It is not my daily driver so stiffer springs are not that big a deal. What do you think?

Re: Opinions on Suspension Upgrades

I'd ditch the sensatrack shocks and advise against sensatrack struts. From what you've already upgraded and are looking to pgrade it seems that you're going for a tight, firm suspension. Sensatracs tend to be very soft. I worked for a company that sold millions in tenneco products every year (monroe's parent company) and have been to many product seminars and tech shows over the years. They're great for your park ave and would be just fine if you were looking for a nice ride but they just dont compliment the suspension you're describing very well. If you're looking for an inexpensive performance shock/strut I'd go with the KYB GR2. They tend to be a bit firmer than stock and compliment suspension mods well while not being overly rough riding and over dampening spring oscillation. They're very cost effective as well at about 18 beans a piece for the shocks and 50 or so each per strut.

Also the Moog spring you're describing are great as a factory replacement type spring for a reasonable cost. You may want to look into a set of Moog cargo coils for the rear. (Moog is also owned by Tenneco Automotive)

start with

koni yellows

run better tires such as kuhmo MX's, wider if your rims can tolerate it (275/40-17)

then worry about the other stuff.

Re: Opinions on Suspension Upgrades

if ur looking for cheap bang for ur buck... i would get KYB gr2's up front and KYB's gas-a just in the rear... much better than stock... if u got the money... koni yellows and blistens are great or just get coil overs for the best. springs are up for ur taste... the moog springs are nice if u want stock ride height which ur car will have the proclamed 4x4 look with 4-5" fender gap lol lowering springs will help alot esp the sprotlines drastic drop. i went from stock ws6 springs to the shocks above and sportlines and my car is scary in the turns... i have yet to find the limits where the tires break loose. i went for bang for my buck and u dont need koni yellows/blistens if ur not a auto cross racing car....

next would be some nice weld in SFC, UMI are nice etc, get some relocation brackets for the LCA's from UMI get the bolt ins and u can weld them in whenever u get the chance, also adjustable panhard rod will help in the turns(if u lower it) since u got one, ur sway bars are kinda small, i got the stock 36mm and 24mm and they would help alil or just go aftermarket. torque arms are tricky, i would look into a shortened verson from jegs, sphon etc that take the arm off the rear of the tranny, replace ur front control arm bushings with poly etc and w/e other poly u havent replaced. throw on some fat tires and ur set. with my setup i can handle better than most on the road and have taken mercedes AMG's and BMWs with ease. its all on ur budget

also look into ur tierods/sleeves/balljoints, i upgraded the tierod sleeves to edelbrocks perfomance sleeves that are solid and beefy and some moog problem solvers etc, the stock peices are crap and scary weak.
