noisey front hub

I have this clicking noise coming from my front right hub area. I know it's not the brake, the brakes are in good shape. If I go real slow it starts clicking and it seems like the more I use it the louder it's gets. Any ideas? I'm possible thinking the bearings are bad. I do have 18" rims and 2" adaptors on the front, wonder if that has anything to do with it? Rick

Re: noisey front hub

redo the front bearings with grease and while you are disassembling check to see if there are any foreign items near the hub/rotor. spin the rotor by hand to see if you can duplicate the noise. make sure rotor is not warped while turning it to rule that out as the culprit.

Re: noisey front hub

has work been done on it recently ?

is the cotter key for the spindle bearing nut hitting the dust cap ? or is the dust cap dented in badly ?

you will have to inspect yourself to figure out what it is, its probably something minor
