ball joints. opinions?
i am purchasing a new thirdgen and will be replacing everything steering and suspension related and i am unsure on what ball joints to buy. i got moog for my 86 iroc and they looked very beefy, but after everything thing was all done if i turned my wheel to 1/2 turn from either lock the front tires would seem to bind and push the car forward. some people said that it may be from the stiffness of the new balljoints. im not sure. it did seem to get better the more i drove but i didnt drive it that much due to lack of insurance.

I used the ball joints that came with the Energy Suspension rebuild kit. It's been fine no problems etc. Took the A-arms to Pep Boys and let them install the ball joint.

i just put the Moogs on mine. I did some research, and found that they had the best reviews.
as far as putting them in - i can only say "good luck". hope you have a lot of patience, a lot of time, and the right tools. this spring/summer, i replaced everything on my front suspension (bushings, ball joint, struts, springs, etc. etc.), and it was an absolute nightmare. my cat is in pretty good shape too - no huge corrosion problems. it was just a horrible job. no other way to out it. just take your time and try not to get frustrated.
