1999 stock corvette wheels
Picked up a set of 1999 Corvette wheels. They are the factory 18x9 1/2 rear, and 17x8 1/2 front. The tire size is 275/40 rear, and 245/45 front. I know I'm going to need serious spacers. I dont know the exact offset of the wheels. I've been told I cant run spacers of 2-3 inches. But if I can, what size do I need, and where can I buy extended studs for a 91 RS disk/drum brake. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The wheels were DIRT cheap and I dont want to have to turn around and sell them.

You need 2" on all 4. That's what I have on my car, same combo, fits perfect.
The "spacers" you need are really "adapters". They're a block of aluminum, that bolts to the stock studs; and they come with their own studs in them. You don't need longer lugs.
One of the guys that hangs out on this forum sells them. www.skulte.com Check there.

Re: 1999 stock corvette wheels
Wow, only two inches? Not saying that your incorrect, but the fronts were looking more like three inches for the wheel just to clear the upper part of the strut mount (the top of the plate that bolts to the spindle). Two inches? They didnt offer these wheels with any optional back spacings did they? I cant imagine that they would, but you never know. $150 a pair is not TOO bad considering what they're made out of. But do you think I should go with 2.25 in? Just in case my car sits a tad lower or higher than yours? I'm just trying to get it right the first time is all. I know that rarely happens when you modify your car, but I'm trying. Thanks again for all the help. And any further information will be more than welcome.

2" on the front and LS1 rear out back with a 5/16" slip on spacer, so I would recommend buying 4 2.25" bolt on spacers.

I use 2" Skulte spacers and the Nitto Extreems are 285/35/18 in back and 275/40/17 in front. No Rubbing problems.......

So 2.25in and I'm golden? Good deal. Thanks a million guys, informed input is allways welcome. By the way, those are some sharp rides. Very Clean Bird, and the hood on the black/green berlineta, Very sharp. Almost had one myself, think it was called a Daytona Turbo hood or somthing. Went conservative with a 2.50in functional cowl induction in the end though. Thanks again.

No. Get 2" I have those corvette wheel and its 2 inches.
If you plan to do brake upgrades the 2 inch pacers will leave you room, but with the 2.25 inch ones they might go out to far.
