Steering Binding?
So, I'm on my way to work today, when I notice my steering wheel/upper steering column make a light click noise as I turn. I go to make a left hand turn, and my steering binds up. It resists turning in waves, but with a little effort I still turn it and continue on. I get the rest of the way to work, shut it off, work, and come out hours later. It's warm outside now, and the steering still makes noise, but no binding, and after a little driving, it doesn't make any more noise.
Three things (I've done) can contribute to this.
1. I replaced the steering column a few months back due to theft with a remanufactured column from Columns Galore. It has a 1 year warranty.
2. I pulled out the A/C and removed the v-belt that went around the power steering pump and the A/C, but there is still one belt on the power steering pump.
3. I hit my wheel on a curb yesterday, but it didn't feel that I hit it hard enough to damage anything, and there is very very little curb rash on the wheel.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Steering Binding?
Make sure the remaining belt going to the steering pump is in good shape, tight and not slipping. Check your power steering fluid level.

Re: Steering Binding?
Belt doesn't sound like it's slipping, even at the stops of the steering. Fluid was about two ounces low, which isn't much at all, especially considering the location of the check cap and the chances it's been checked within the past ten years.
Everything seems to move smoothly. Gonna try dropping the column and moving it around to see if that helps anything.
