all around good

I am starting to do some planning. I want to go through the suspension on my 92 rs and do some upgrades but I will drive the car to work some and just around in general. I live in Louisiana so lowering any is not wanted if I can keep from it. It will go to strip every now and then for fun and hit some curves from time to time. what does everyone think?

Re: all around good

All right I ordered a wonderbar. The concencous from what I could read was that it was a must. Now from here I am sort of lost any advise? I have read yellow Koni's are the way to go but are they gonna ride bad? Are the just for racing or all around? I haven't seen or heard of a stock ride height upgrade spring. Do they not exist? Thanks

Re: all around good

first of all check all steering components , ball joints , tie rods , idler arm , and so on . i rebuilt the entire front end on my 89rs [ all of the above ] , what a difference . then a S.T.B. , and a T.D.S. wonder bar . now one by one i am starting at the rear , changing all bushings to greasable poly ones . one step at a time , and still a day to day driver . with a driver [ like mine ] stock with good poly bushings are all you need to enjoy . i also live in the G.C. , so i know driving conditions . alignments of course are needed .

Re: all around good

thanks uncle tom I was going to get the energy suspension bushing and trans mount. I think my rear springs are sagging some anyway becouse it sits low in the rear. I think I will go to parts wanted and try to get a good set of stock ones. what shock though? Mine are toast.

Re: all around good

Go with Bilstein or Koni shocks/struts. I've run both and am impressed. As for stock height springs do a search on this forum for Moog springs, I'm not sure which ones are which but there is plenty of info here
