Back in the Saddle
OK, I posted this in the wrong forum. Sorry I am new here.
Ok, I owned a 1989 Formula 350 from 1991-99 until me wife wrecked it. With baby kids coming along no reason to go sports car again so I have done without for 8 years but have now bought another one.
My question is what is the first thing to do to tighten up the suspension? I was about to add a tower strut brace before my old one was wrecked. Good place to start or go ahead to the frame stuff? Does the lower brace really do a lot?
I ask this because the only thing I ever didn't care for was how loose that car felt but it seems that plenty of aftermarket stuff has come out now. Thanks.

Re: Back in the Saddle
No advice on where to start and what is needed. I mainly just want the car to be sturdier and tighter.

Re: Back in the Saddle
My 89 RS had the "wonder bar" and WS6 swaybars. It helps a ton over the RS bars. I would notice better if i had a shorter sidewall in the back but i set it up to hook in a straight line. With the shorter sidewayy tires it had no problem yanking you into another lane.

Re: Back in the Saddle
Subframe connectors are pretty much the biggest difference. Drive without them, then install them - you'll think somebody swapped your car with a tube frame race car. It's very noticeable.
After that, look at poly bushed sway bars, and a strut tower brace in the front. That should make the thing corner like it's on rails.

Sub frame connectors and a wonder bar. Those will be your best bet. Then go to shocks, springs, sway bars.
