Please help 17x9.5 85 T/A

I was looking into buying these rims until i got the dreaded no from my uncle and dad. I need your oppions and help to change there minds. Anyone who has 17x9.5 is there any rubbing at all. Do you ever run into any kinds of problems.I have the spacers from my last set of rims so im not worried about that.

I have 17x9.5s with 275/40ZR17s on my car. I'm running 2" spacers on the front and a 4th gen rear end. My quater's lips have been trimmed back about 3/8ths of an inch. I'm not sure if it needs it, though. The don't stick out much more than the stock wheels/tires did. The only place mine rub is on the driver's side front inner wheel well. I think it's just because of fender being a little 'off' on that side. And it only does it at full lock right, and even then it's not much at all.
