Ok...need some suspension suggestions for my project

Ok, i've got an 88 camaro and it is going to be stripped down and rebuilt starting next week. So i figured i better start to order some parts. Problem is, i need some help...
I want this thing to be more of a cruiser, street rod. Plans for this one are an LS2/t-56 swap on a LS K member. Hopefully seeing 600 bhp. Anyways, i need some good starting suspension ideas. I have no problem fabbin up stuff or sticking in a 'kit', i just need some help getting started. It's not going to be a drag car, so a suspension aimed more at handling/ride control would be my goal. I've read a lot, but more imput aimed at my build would be greatly appreciated, such as, Suggested rim size (17s?), lower?, ...etc.
Obviously sfc, and the other basic braces...some advanced imput?

My car probably will weigh a bit more than stock when i'm done.
moving from cloth manual to power leather 02 ta seats. dynamat. keepin all he creature comforts. etc...
