is there a such thing as a steering gearbox rebuild kit

just wondering. i have an 85 iroc z . it had play in the gearbox and i had a 91 rs parts car so i installed that to gain more stable steering control. i kept the original just in case i could fix it

The IROC was equipped with the more desirable quick ratio box. A rebuild kit is available. Try your local parts store.
