Car: 1992 RS Black

Engine: 305 TBI(LT1 swap soon)

Transmission: T5 (T56 for LT1 swap)

Axle/Gears: 4.10

Power Steering Upgrade

I have searched but have not found all the answer about upgrading my power steering. Either go with a upgraded box or a manual or power rack and pinion kit. I have a '92 RS and want to retain some what of street drive ability. Was wondering what and where to get the best close ratio power box. Or if rack and pinion is worth converting to?

If you RS came with 16" wheels from the factory, you have the better steering box.

Does anybody make an aftermarket close ratio power steering box for are car?

Summit had some thing but I think it was just a dressed up "FE2" (what you car should all ready have) power steering box.
They do ware out, mine was starting to leak a bit form the bottem seal. Good thing it did, I replaced it and the drag link and now my steering responce alot better.
