I was wondering. i hear about people buying aftermarket tq arms and having probs with them breaking. i was wondering if there would be any gain in strengthening the stock tq arm? would it help with the putting the power to the ground better or am I just fishing.

also i know that boxed lca's and lca relocation brackets help. i have both. are there any other mods that can help my car handle better. I am looking for tweaks that you can do to stock components or modest priced aftermarket ones. I don't have the money to put a four link or anything like that but i still want to make it better than stock.

I have a stb on the front and a wonder bar are there any other upgrades to the front suspension that i could do. I don't really want to lower the car any if much.

thanks for any and all info.

ive NEVER heard of a good aftermarket torque arm breaking, unless its in a hardcore all out drag race setup. You will be fine with one, preferably one that takes the torque arm off the trans.

Some of the aftermarket torque arms that have broke have been caused by the Moser 12-bolt rear end. There bolt design is (2) small bolts up top and (2) small bolts on the botton threaded up. I can't even tell you how many times we have seen these bolts come loose and cause issues. Sometimes it doe lead to a bent, broke or fractured torque arm since the bolts are not tight.

I agree, I've seen ones that have been saftey wired and some that had the head of the bolts tack welded to the rear bracket break. Any of the rears with the bolt through design and longer grade 8 bolts, you'll be fine with just about any torque arm out there.
