better stance for 1984 z28

iv got a nice camaro z28 and iv suped it all up already with a big 350, but the stance of the car looks weak. the stance does not fit its preformance. Im planning on putting 18s on the back with 275 tires. hopefully that will help!

anyone got any more ideas to give it a mean look

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

i think 18s look dumb especially on an 84. I'd go with 15" outlaw II's with RADIAL TA white letters, 275 or 295/60 (some hammering required) in the back

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

i set my bird with a somewhat "rake" stance but i havent got my new tires for the back so its 235 all around i want 275 or 255 in the rear and 215 in front or 205's. and i agree anything bigger than a 15" rim looks kind odd on a 80's car if ur trying to keep it in the 80's
heres mine.

im GABRIEL HIJACKERS air shocks

you could put 87+ ground effects on it, i think thats your problem, that and a bigger rear tire would fix it. Thats why i dont like the 84s i like the gfx. Combine gfx, a cowl hood and big rear tires it would look bad ***

loooks pretty mean, thats how i want to have my stance. Im going to get some american racing outlaw 2s and stuff 295/60s in the back (only some inner fender hammering required) and probably go with 235s or 215s in the front. Hopefully everything will fit on 8" rims. BFGoodrich TA's all around though white letters out of course!!

Please, don't go for the air shock "stink-bug" stance. You can do it subtle and make it look kicka**. Check out mw66nova on here, his SC w/out gfx has a killer stance.

your cars stance looks how mine does now. I dont like how the fronts got so much space in it. I like the rear to be higher than the front looks cooler

Bigger tires are cool, but I wouldnt jump to that so soon. I think you should lower it, I plan on putting the prokit on mine sometime soon.

Jesus H. freakin Christ, this thread has it all...... 15 inch wheels, white letters, air shocks and cherry bombs. Where's the smilie with a ****** when you need him? LMMFAO!!!!!!

EDIT:

Whoah, I did'nt realise that the term for having short hair in the front and long in the back was censored.

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

This board is ridiculous with the censoring. to each his own opinion. but my cars got all them, plus all the smog stuff removed (air pump, cats, evap can, pvc, egr, etc), 10w40 and if it was possible itd have traction bars too, and probably going to swith for carb soon. I like it old school i mean we drive 3rd gens!! i just laugh when people put 18s and rubber band tires on these cars. you might as well start saying "noss" and put neon lights in. unlike the ****** all that stuff u said was and will always be cool.

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

im gunna go with the bigger tires in the back (275-295) and see how that looks.... i do however like the ground effects from the 90-92 camaros with the air vents. i think they may be lower too... that could solve the problem

18's can be done tastefully and look a heck of a lot better than some airshock jacked up pos.

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

I guess I'm just a function over form kinda guy. These cars handle good in stock form, why not improve upon that instead of going the other direction?

Re: better stance for 1984 z28

Personally I think 17's all around look good. Some 18's do look good though, really depends on the style of the wheel.
