..please post pics of your creations. I'm looking for ideas for making one for my Formula with TPI to replace the Edelbrock I just removed due to clearance issues with the hood liner.

which bar? the 3 point tubular one?

i took a edelbrock 3pt, cut the ends off and made it into a rigid mount piece, i dont know if it will clear a stock hood, maybe?

here is the pics, they are a little old and crappy, i can get better ones when i get the car back form the shop

ahh, one with it painted

I'm trying to come up with one for TPI. I had a similar idea but with keeping the Edelbrock ends and making the bars connecting them to the cowl with a cross brace closer to the cowl to allow better clearance. You get that overflow tank from Canton? I've had that on my to do list for some time now but just haven't gotten around to it.

Re: Those that have fabbed their own strut tower braces

heres a pair a buddy and me made about a year ago, total cost was like 12 dolars, and thats counting for the beers also! hahahaha

Bending the bar

Test fitting

Welding

One finished

And the other one

Ps. We used a real pipe bender to do the bars, the lamp post pic was just for laughs
