Question about subframe connector install location
I just got spohn subframe connectors and while i was looking under my car as to where they will mount i was kinda suprised to see that my car doesnt look like the car on their site under their install pics
here's what i mean...the front subframe on passenger side has me concerned..i dont have the mounting pad like this picture on his site

My "subframe" is like 1/2 " of mounting surface in height, maybe 3/4 as it tapers to the body side. Not big enough to get that full circle end to flush mount
CLEARLY not anywhere near as big as that pic on spohns site posted above
Is this normal?? can i still somehow weld to that spot?

Re: Question about subframe connector install location
u wont be able to weld that tube end fully. wat i would do is get sum 1/8" steel and weld a bracket to the end outa the car so u can fully weld the tube to both ends. then put in the subframe and weld the bracket to the stock subframe. make the bracket form to the car not the tube end
also a good thing to do is weld like and inch or two every 6-8" long the floor from the subframe to the floor so it attaches all along the floor pan. i solved this by welding in 2"x2" square steel but cutting into the floor and welding the floor completely to the subframe.
