I know this topic has been beat to death but after doing a search I have come up with nothing. I have a chance to buy a set of 06' C6 wheels and tires from a friend of mine and I am woundering how much of a spacer will I need to make them sit in the wheel well correctly. Where do I get a spacer like that? I will be trying them out this weekend just to try and see what they will look like. They are 19" in the rear and 18" in the front. I shouldn't have any problems getting them to fit over my factory disk brakes.
Has any one done this yet? Do you have any pics of them on a GTA? Thank's
Phil

You're probably specifying GTA in the search terms or somthing? I've told countless individuls what I did to put c6 18/19 combo on my bird.

Are you lowered? How much? That will affect how the wheels sit in the fenderwells so my advice will best work on a bird lowered as much as mine (~2-3" in the front). They are 18x8.5 front and 19x10 rear. I run a 2" spacer in the front along with a 275/35-18 BFG KDWNT tire. The only time I rub is at full lock in reverse backing down a hill. A little specific, eh? I like that I don't rub at all driving but I think the wheels tuck a little too far in the fenderwells for my taste. Well, more truthfully they just tuck in farther than the rears because of how wide the rears are. I actually just ordered a pair of 2.25" adapters for the front to see how that looks. I think it'll balance out the rear better but I know for a fact I'll be messing with the plastic fender liner a bit. Not too much but enough.
For the rear I'm using an 4thgen LT1 rear axle so it's wider. I'm also using a 1" adapter along with rolled fenderlips. I think that's around ~2.75" wider than a factory thirdgen per side. From what I understand the rears are between 3.5-4" wider. If you're running a stock thirdgen rear I'd try a 2.5" adapter in the rear and a 2" in the front and be willing to pick up another pair of adapters if that doesn sit how you like it.
EDIT: Someone should start a sticky with different wheels and the spacers/adapters required to fit them along with dimensions and maybe pictures? Are you lowered? How much? Wow. If you do a search for corvette rims you will find lots of post about people putting C5 rims on there 3rd gen. If C6 rims were the same thing I would have never asked the question. I know they will fit, WITH THE CORRECT SPACER. The question I asked was how much of a spacer I would need and where do I get them. I also didn't find any pics of any 3rd gen's with C6 rims. Pleanty of pics with C5 rims but again, there not the same. I did a search for C6 corvette rims and after a total of about 3 hours reading posts I got a little tired and decided to ask a question. Won't happen again.Originally Posted by Stephen
