so my car is being lowered, and to help compensate i thought about ditching the strut mount retainers and using bolts and spacers to raise the strut mount off of the strut tower app 1". they are steel spacers, and the bolts are grade 5, they only had 4 grade 8 bolts at the hardware store and i needed six. is this a bad idea? should i go find some grade 8 bolts? the bolts are only 1/4" so they would fit in the strut mount holes, and i couldnt find 5/16" spacers or metric spacers.
