I bought a 1988 black GTA Notch back today and I have some questions. First order of business is a braking problem. When you brake, the front end wobbles and wiggles and you have to correct it with the steering wheel, so I don't know what the hell that is. The car drives strait, and is in very good shape. Any help would be awesome! thanks!

 

Front suspension bushings?
One strut bad?
Screwy brakes (warped rotor? sticking caliper?)

Yeah the warped rotors occurred to me, but I haven't checked them yet. I haven't had much time with the car yet. and BTW is there a forum that I can post pics and show it off in? ( I just got it about 3 hours ago )

 

you can post pics in the auto detailing and appearance forum. Be aware, a different crowd of people typically go on each different forum here...

Sounds like a braking problem, maybe a kind mod will move this to the braking forum. Sticking caliper/warped rotors come to mind.
