Tire Question

Hey guys, I know this has probably been asked alot but I cant seem to get a straight answer.

I currently have 245/50/16's on my 89 iroc all around (Iroc Rims)

I want the tires to be WIDER on the rear so I discovered that 255/50/16's would be a feasible tire choice. Now should I do 255's all around, or will that be to wide for the front end? Maybe 245's on front 255's on rear? Is that a better choice? Also will I have any clearance problems?

Re: Tire Question

I've never had that wide of a tire on the front, but there shouldn't be any problem fitting the 255/50/15 all around as it really isn't that much different of a size. They will be about 1/2" wider and taller than the 245/50/16.

Re: Tire Question

I've got 245s front and 255s rear (16). My fronts have the same backspace as the rear (aftermarket Centerlines). With the 3rd gen disc brakes on the front, the tires hit at full lock.
No problems with the back.
