V6 coils on V8 car for lowering?
>anybody try coils from a v-6 car on a car with v8 motor? I swapped out my A/C, iron heads for alum., and put in a T-5 in place of the auto...the car sits 1" higher than stock.....I was wondering if I could put in V6 coils and what would happen to: A) ride height; B) handling/spring rate/comfort? Anybody try this?

I think that would be a bad idea, V6 springs have a much lower spring rate. So you would be sacrificing alot of handling to lower it. Best option I have seen is cutting Moogs to lower.

Spring rate is too soft. I ran V6 coils on my BBC car for a few years. Although they worked because the front of my car was so much lighter, they didn't perform as good as a proper set of springs.
