I am going to be going "fine tuning" my car this winter and I wanted some help on what are the best buys. It is an 85 Iroc. I plan on putting gears in it, prob 3.73's, and I wanted to put new shocks and possibly struts on it. If I am going to be spendin the money I might as well go for better performance. Any suggestions on where to buy gears from and also what and where I should get for better suspension? would it be worth it to me to buy a posi unit (auburn)? I know I am going to have to spend some money on the suspension but I am not looking to empty my bank account on it. Please let me know if you know of any good buys. Thanks.

 

If your putting in 3.73's you better have a posi unless you like going through tires (sorry, that should be "tire"). If you want to stiffen up the car a little you should replace bushings, get new springs and shocks, and weld in some subframe connectors.

What are your plans for your car? This will determine the advice people give you.
