Tire sizes
I have an 87 GTA I need to put new tires on it and I'm aiming more towars a touring setup and was wondering what the widest tire setup I woud be able to run front and rear on the stock wheels

..or put 255s up front as well.
I've run the BFG 295/50R16s on the stock 16x8 wheels before, on the rear. 8" is the minimum spec BFG call for, for those tires. Not sure if they could fit up front, but they sure looked tough on the rear. Good footprint & no bad tire wear either.

I run 255/50/16s at the rear and the stock 245/50/16s up front at the moment, along with Koni Yellows and Eibach Pro Springs and love the handling. I'm going to try 255's up front at the next tire change though to see if it gives slightly better front end grip.
