Anyone have pics of the steel plates that get welded into the spring pocket for the spohn rear coilover kit? I want to see pics of the welds..
Thanks
Thanks
any particular reason? they would look like any other welds.
If you want to know how much welding, they dont have to be welded all the way around, just a few stitch welds to hold the plate in. It is a rear pain to make the welds though, especially if you dont have a lift.

Yea I just wanted to know how much welding was actually required...
Around the entire perimeter of the plate and maybe a few lengths along the inside of the hole in the plate... or like you said just a few stitch welds. I am not doing the welding. I am going to have a shop do it just because I have no experience with it. But I want to be able to look at it and know they didnt do a half *** job with it but they are a very good shop so I should not have problems.
Thanks, I'll try to get pics of it once finished for others if interested.

I am in the process of doing this job as well and will be doing the welding myself. I was curious as well as the instructions dont specify where to weld. I also noticed while trial fitting that there is some sheet metal that angles downward in the back that doesnt allow the plate to sit flush. I assume i will need to remove this small piece. I would love some pics and ill post mine when i get it done later this week.
Car is in the shop getting the plates welded today... I am picking it up on Friday morning and will get pics up sometime Friday afternoon. Stay tuned
