Incorrect Strut Plate Mount? What's OEM part #??
I've been fighting a steering binding issue for several months since I had my entire suspension replaced. I had a shop replace the old front strut bearing mounts with factory units till my billet ones were ready.
I think that the shop installed the incorrect strut plates which may account for the steering binding under load, but can't locate the factory OEM part numbers for these. Anybody know what they're supposed to be AND if the part numbers would be different left/right sides? I really could use some help here.... Nitro-Nicky

I have a pair out of a 89 GTA. I found NO part # printed nor stamped on either one. Top nor bottom, nor even the stud plate that mounts i the fenderwell.
Just a 'L' on the left//passenger side one.

Thanks for taking the time to include your photo. Mine have extra holes drilled around the edging and the top bolt slot is twice as wide as the other two slots. The shape seems basically the same. I wonder if the guy bought something that was a 'universal set'????
Whatever it is, now I can take the pic and head downstairs to see how the two sets compare. I just can't think of anything else it could be...... Hmmm

There are only two types that I know about. Check the following link for my discovery:

Thanks for that link- It answered a lot of questions. Mine are definitely the newer one size fits all units. Nitro
