Best Front Strut?
Best Front Strut?
I'd love to buy the nice Koni or other high end front struts, but I can't afford $450-500.00 for these on my daily driver Camaro. And this car is not my only project to budget for, so I need to find a good middle ground. I do want to fix this car up a bit, but I'm just not going too far with it.
Can anybody give me a recomendation for a decent front strut that gives better than stock, middle of the road performance for a reasonable price?
Are Tokico's or KYB's very good? I see Gabriels and Monroe's on ebay at pretty cheap prices. Are they complete junk, no better than stock struts, or even that good?
I don't mind paying for some quality and performance, but I'm not going to be autocrossing, I just want to have my car handle nicely and spend a reasonable amount of money.
Thanks.

I'd say the nice KYBs or Tokicos would be a minimum for your plans. I'd stay away from the Monroes and Gabriels.

I've been running a set of Tokico Illumina's for a good many years. Adjustable, big step above the worn stockers, Lightest setting is slightly stiffer than stock.
