Tire/Wheel question
Hello.
I have a question that i could not find the answer to by searching through the threads. So if this has already been brought up, i'm sorry for being redundant.
I have 16inx8in Iroc Z wheels on my 82 Camaro, I'm trying to find out what the widest tire i can put on the rear without the tire surpassing the body of the car, I live in Pennsylvania, and it is illegal here.
A guy i know said he thinks 275 is the widest i can legally go, but he wasn't 100% sure.
If anyone can help me out, i would appreciate it.

buy wider rims if you plan to run a tire wider than 255 on a 8" rim. Any wider and parts of the tread won't be touching the pavement anyways.
