i just came back from racing my cousin's 02 mildly modded gt which i havent able to beat, he just got his tranny rebuilt so did i, we did a 20 roll, i spun and squated like a mother**** but he took me on the top end for less than a car length my car has the old monroe shocks from 1986 and i want to replace them with the tokico shocks/springs kit, how fast would this shocks make my car? i really want to take on that lil mudstang thanks for the help.

Re: tokico shocks and a lil stang

I just installed Tokico HP's on my 88 Iroc. The ride is firmer, I took the car autocrossing after but what exactly do you need to know? The reason for asking is because I installed edelbrok tubular control arms, del a lum bushings in the front and polyurethane bushings everywhere else with a performance alignment. I'm not sure if the shocks made my car faster, I would expect the stronger rear tubular control arms to though. I never got time slips before, so it's hard to say.

It won't make your car any faster. It might keep the car from transferring it's weight to back as quickly. If you are spinning and that's what you think is making you loose, I'd invest in tires, LCAs, and LCARBs first.
