Lowering Centerlink and Tie Rods

Has anyone lowered their steering linkage to gain clearence for lowering their engine? I know that if you have an s10 steering box you can bolt on a Jeep dropped pitman arm so what about the idler? I am trying to prevent going to a rack to lower my engine down 2 inches in the engine bay. A bump steer kit should solve the tie rods angle problem.

Thx,Jim
