C6 Wheels/2" Spacers...Safety Question

Hi guys, I found a great deal on C6 wheels for my 83 Firebird, and from what I've read, I need to run 2" spacers/adapters. The spacers I have bought are not "hub centric", but to me, the C6 wheels look like they are.

Is it safe for me to put on these wheels, or should I try to find some "hub centric" 2" spacers? I've attached pics of the spacers I have, and also one of the wheels.

I searched, and found a debate about lug centric/hub centric, and as I understood the debate, it's okay to run lug centric spacers with hub centric wheels. If I'm wrong, could someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!!

I've had factory C6 wheels with those adapters with no problems, you should be fine. Later.

they are lug centric, our factory wheels are lug centric as well. the center hub is just a guide, once the wheel is snugg the hub isn't even in contact with the wheel. i am running them with 2.25" spacers up front and 2" in the rear the fronts need 2.5" to keep them from rubbing at full lock, as i rub right now, with a 18X9.5" wheel and a 265 40 18 tire

what size C6 wheels? if you got the 19x10 rear you need 2.5" spacer.

I'm running a 1.7" spacer on the front and its just fine. I got a C5 brake swap coming up in the next month or so which will push it out a 1/3 inch to bring it back to 2" overall so 2" is good size

Thanks for the replies guys. My C6's are replicas, all 4 are 18x9.5 so that's why I went w/ 2" spacers all the way around. I've got the car on jacks right now, putting a new 383 Stroker in so I haven't been able to check the fronts for rubbing yet.

i got 255's up front and lock to lock i have no rubbing. With 275's you may have the tire touch the plastic wheel wheel cover at full lock
