What does performance suspension mean?
What is included in the performance suspension package of a 1987 Trans am?
Not a GTA, not a formula, but a trans am.
Thanks, Dale

Re: Suspension
its the ws6 package, pretty much just larger swaybars, 36mm front and 24mm rear, and slightly stiffer springs. Same on all of them, maybe a slightly different spring rate for the formy because its a bit lighter.

Re: Suspension
Thanks for the quick reply!
My wife and I just bought this car about three weeks ago and I'm still trying to get the bugs out of it. When I look it up on the internet, there are so many different kinds of 305's, and other parts of the car that because I don't know anyone else to give me the specs I'm just busy learning...
I've been trying to find why this Ws6 isn't indicated on the car, just performance suspension. The GTA's I think have it written on the the glove box or somewhere. I'm trying to get a tight, but comfortable ride to make some long trips. So far, the only thing wrong with it, is a worn gear in the differential, worn valve seals and some minor interior corrections. It's got 96 thousand miles on it according to the speedo. I've had it to the tire store four times and still cant get the wobble out of it after 65. It's got the 20 slot 16X8 alum. wheels. I think I'll try to find a speed shop that will help me get the bugs out of it in GR MI. I'm thinking about eventually getting a more economical exaust system on it if it would help on the gas mi. I've got some air leaks in the t-top seals. Do you know if it's supposed to have plastic trim on them or not? So far, this is the best ride I've had in a performance car since having a 64 corvette back in the early 70's. I had side pipes on it and like the sound and might do something like that for this car. Any tips or things you think would be good for me to know about it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dale

Re: Suspension
the rpo sheet is either in the center console on in the locking compartment in the trunk. If ws6 is not there, its not a performance suspension car, people can always swap interior panels. some had the emblem others didnt.
