I'm replacing the rear shocks in my car. Do I need to remove the interior trim and carpeting?

Does anyone have a how-to guide?

Thanks,
Bill

The carpet comes in two pieces and overlaps under the back seat. IIRC, I just pulled the carpet away from area where the shocks are located. You don't require much room.

Re: help with shock install
shocks are installed! Thanks for the help guys. I need to put my interior back together and go for a test drive.

I did some putsing around, removed the seatbelt mounts (unnecassary) and ended up scratching some of my interior pieces (GRRRR), but besides that, it was a success!

Thanks again,
Bill

At least you did it yourself. A friend of mine just had a shop change the back shocks in his mustang for ~$160. That was a waste of money considering I probably could have done it for im in an hour or two for some pizza and soda. Oh well...

There's your excuse to change the interior color if you wanted
