steering has to much play

Anybody experiencing to much play in their steering. I've replaced a while back the entire suspension including springs and a new gear box. I have the ws6,performance suspension. anyway, I've had this excessive movement in my steering since I bought the car 2yrs. ago and have not been able to correct this problem. the car when I bought it hade 146,000 and now has 170,000. I've had it aligned several times. it feels worse when you go over groves or indentations in the road. the car will pull either left or right and almost pulls you into the other lane. anyway, is there any fixes for this or is this just how f-bodys ride. also, will a strut tower brace help! (2 point brace) like hotchkins.
