i need to beef up the front suspension on my 84 maro. it used to have a v6 in it, and i want to know if anybody out there knows which parts work well for cheaper prices, and who sells 'em. i want ot use less as possible, but serves the purpose. stuts, springs, who do i go to, how stiff do they need to be?

The only difference between V6 and V8 suspensions is the spring rate and even then it depended on the exact model. A V8 in an RS has a lighter spring rate than a V8 in a Z28/WS6.
Chances are your factory springs are very weak and worn out and a set of factory replacement springs will do wonders. Go to your local parts store and see what's available.
