replaced rear suspension, but need more traction

I've added a BMR boxed lower control arms, and panhard rod. the gears are stock on my 91'z-28 and so are the tires. today I added the LCA, it made the rear alittle more solid, but not what I was expecting. I can't punch it or it will just spin. anything else I can add?

I have heard a torque arm like the ones from Random Technology or Spohn can work wonders on f bodies. My brother got one on his 99 SS and he thinks he gets better traction now. I will get one as soon as I can get up some $.
Also, I don't know what you mean by stock tires, but if your tires are worn that will make a huge difference.
Good luck. You'll need it to get your f body to hook up good without slicks:-)

all i have to say is yoko AVS intermediates. you will hook up like you never though possible. got to tirerack.com you will find them there in the stock size for $84 a tire. yea i know they used to be alot more expensive but the tread patern is old now and they are cheap. This does not mean they are not awesome tires it means that they are affordable. they used to be the benchmark street tire for the scca. they hook nearly as good as drag radials. I have them on my car and love them. They last me about a year for a set of rears and 2 years for the fronts. When they are new i have a hard time spinning in first unless it is off the line they hook and hook hard. I run the same on slicks as i do on these tires. I actualy run better 60 foot times with the yoko's but there is a little more stick on the 1-2 shift with slicks.

If it's traction you want......you also got to work with the front suspenion. Make the front lighter. Try some 90/10 shocks. And try some springs. It's not just the back suspension that makes it hook. It's the combitination with the front suspension. Proper weight transfer is what will get you 60' times and better traction. Only thing I did to the back was weld some plates to the lca to stiffen them up and installed a airbag on the right side. She hooks fine now. And I know it isn't from a lack of torque.

The LCA relocation brackets really help. If you or a friend can weld then they're also very inexpensive. Pair them with a sticky rear tire like the Nitto drag radials I run as everyday tires. Steve Spohn is your best value for the brackets.
