Can I do this?

I have about 7000 miles on my tires. I'm tired of looking at the white letters on the side and want to flip the tires over then rebalance them. Can I do this, or will my tires vibrate bad because of wear patterns?

Unless your alignment was off causing extreme wear on a specific area, you should be fine. I agree, turn those white letters in.

Just in case you do have some directional wear on your tires have the tire shop put your tires back on the car on the opposite sides they came off of. In other words put your driver front on the passenger front, and you pass. front on your driver front. Also do this for the rear. That way your tires will still be rotating in the same direction. And if you have some alignment wear on the tires and it hasn't gone too far, this could possibly even them back out.

Just remember to rebalance the tires after you have them turned inside out.

Thanks. I was planning on doing this tommorrow at work, but wanted to check first. I didn't want to remount the tires and balance them then have to do it all over again.
