Better than a 1LE suspension?

is there an aftermarket setup(springs, shocks, bushings, etc.) that will make my 1991 1LE perform the same(or better), but have a little smoother ride?

Unfortunately "performance" and "smooth ride" are usually mutually exclusive terms.

That's the whole reason the 1LE wasn't offered to the public as an option....b/c of the racecar like ride! Add polyurethane engine & trans mounts for an even harsher ride, I did, but it's so worth it performance wise!

No, the springs and swaybars are a misconception. In '92, there were only three front swaybars offered. Either the FE1, FE2, or F41. There is no "1LE" bar like everybody thinks. FE1 was the "soft ride" wich got the 30mm sway bar. The F41, which was the "firm ride and handling" had the 34mm, and the FE2, which wasn't just for the 1LE "package", it also could be had with the WS6 or Z28, as it was the 36mm.

As for the springs, there were about 4 different versions, none are 1LE specific.

thanks for the info GMtech. slowTA, the 1LE (and i believe b4c) fuel tanks are baffled to reduce sloshing during hard cornering.
