Steering Problems - very loose

I have noticed that my steering is getting a little wacky..I will try to explaint the 2 problems Im having:

1) I can turn the steering wheel 1-2" both ways before the wheels turn.

2) The right front wheel feels a little "loose" - kinda like its doing it's own thing up there. I've made sure that the lug's are all tightened up properly.

Thanks for the help!

Jacob

you should check all the front end for worn parts and replace what's needed. if you don't know how take it to a shop having the steering breaks while you're moving really sucks.

You know, I had a problem quite similar to what you said about your wheel "doing its own thing". This would happen to me at high speeds. I took it to Pep Boys to see if the car needed a re-alignment, but it turned out that the front brake pads needed replacing.

Hope that helps!
