Pitman arm and draglink

Well I feel kind of embarrased to admit that I took out my steering box and forgot to mark the pitman arm and centerlink. Any ideas on how I can get it lined up properly?

Pitman arm will only go on one way properly. It has 4 master splines that can position it in 4 different positions however it needs to be pointed straight back. One spline out means it's out 90*.

Center link is non adjustable but can be installed upside down. View stickies at top of forum for pictures.

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. Pitmat arm is still conected to the steering box. i removed the pitman arm FROM the centerlink without marking its position. I can't see any splines on that end of the pitman arm aswell as the centerlink. it looks like it could go back on in any position.

I think this might be a job for the alignment shop.

Thanks for the reply

Re: Pitman arm and draglink

You're still making no sense? The center link just uses a tapered shaft end that goes into the hole through the pitman arm. What's so hard about putting a shaft into a hole?

The center link is a solid rod that attaches the pitman arm to the idler arm. There is no adjustments required. The tie rods then attach to the center link. If your alignment is out after that, the tie rods get adjusted.
