Need advice w/ roof, SFCs, and roll cage...
Good afternoon. Here's the skinny: I have a car w/ a damaged driver's side and roof, and a nice car w/ mint driver's side and t-topped roof. I want to have car A repaired with car B's parts--including having the roof swapped over. Now, I know this will result in a weakened frame and the like, but I also want to install a 4 or 6pt cage. Should installation of the cage and SFCs strengthen the frame suitably? Also, any bdy guys know what this might run me???

"including having the roof swapped over." I assume by a body shop. My money says it would be cheaper to buy another car.

stock L69 exhaust, KYB's, homemade SFC's,STB and wonderbar
Some are faster but mine's fast enough.

I'm confused, do you mean you want to use the t-top car to fix the hardtop car? I don't get it...
I have installed Alston SFC's along with a four point roll bar in my t-top equipped car. Before I added these pieces, when I would cross over railroad tracks, for example...it felt like the front of the car would move one way and the rear of the car would move a different way, like they were not securely connected. As I understand it, this is just the nature of the vehicle.
With the sfc's and bar, the car now feels much tighter, like a car with a full frame. I do not feel body flex anymore.
Technically speaking, a 4, 6 or 8 point setup is a roll bar, not a cage.
10 & 12 point sytems are cages.
Hope this helps.

If cost is not a problem, it can be done and would be plenty stiff with a good cage and SFC's.
