Whats the widest tire you can put on a stock 15x7 wheel? Also what is the widest on that wheel that will not rub in the rear? I'm thinking about 275 nittos...

 

245/60's almost touched with the suspension compressed on my 82.

275's too wide. Try 245/60/15 or 245/50/15.

 

275 60 15 will fit fine, if u dont have 4 people in the car.

Or hit any bumps/dips. If you have to have that big of a tire, install some air shocks and jack the back end up.

i had 275/60/15's on my iroc *no suspension mods* for over a year. no problems. but now im getting some 17x11 *back* ZR-1 rims, 17x9's up front. the tires in back will be 335/35's... but then again.. im tubing the rear to fit them. and putting a 490HP/580TQ 406 in the IROC *or more hp if i get the S/C*
