How will same wheel backspace look/fit?

From what I've read the rear wheels have more backspace than the fronts. I want to buy aftermarket wheels 16x8, but dont want the rear wheels to look narrower because the offset takes more of the 8" rim to the inside. If I order all 4 rims with the same offset as the front how will things fit and look. I can take out the 1/8" rear spacer installed in the rear.

Thanks for you input.

Bruce

The only reason that spacer is on there is because the steel drum is thinner than the aluminum drum. The spacer you are talking about has very little effect on the back spacing.. i wouldn't worry about having it on or not having it on. The tire "might" rub a little under hard cornering or it might not. I don't think its a night and day difference with it off or on.

That what I thought the spacer was for, figured I could just dump it anyway to gain just a little back.

Will the backspace being the same look alright. How much difference is there really between front & rear backspace. I've been to lazy to take the wheel off my 88 and mesure.

Thanks
